Event Cannot Rerun For (x time)

Is there a secret undocumented way to modify an event's "Cannot Rerun For (x time)" flag using scripting?

Would be extremely useful in my setup.

Right now I am enabling and disabling events for various amounts of time which is quite roundabout; having access to this in scripting would be much much simpler.

Make your event dependent on the state of a virtual device with a condition statement.
You can then change the state of the device either in a script or in another event.

That is a good idea and simpler than what I've been doing now.

I have several announcements based on motion that I want to not retrigger so often once there is motion. For instance, we are sitting on the patio, and the motion announcement goes off every 4 minutes.... kind of annoying. So I was wanting to set up a routine where the announcement would not trigger 4 minutes, then 8 minutes then 12 minutes if there is motion. A virtual device will work well.
