Proper POST command (from 3rd party app) to write HS3 Device Value?

Why not use the built in HS3 JSON interface? You can run the event directly.

If both apps are running on the same box it could be http://localhost/JSON

I'd like to send data to HS3 'from' Plex/Tautulli located on the same PC ( which can send POST commands, or run a script)

I was thinking if I had it send a POST with the data I needed, then I could use Easy Trigger to parse the data, thus triggering the appropriate event.

Can anyone help with the proper POST command to write a device?
