  • Can't execute hs.WriteLog

I'm working on a scrip, and I want to insert some hs.WriteLog statements for debugging purposes. I keep getting
Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. Attempted to access a missing member.

I've reduced the entire script to simply:

    Sub Main(parms as object)

    hs.WriteLog("Hello")

    End Sub

    So what's going on here?

    Thanks

    Try hs.Writelog("Test","Hello")

writelog requires two parameters; type and message.

Yep. That worked. Thanks so much. I would never have guessed it needed two parameters by reading the script help file. All examples I've seen show just one parameter.

      thanks again

What help file are you using? This clearly shows two: http://help.homeseer.com/help/HS3/st...ugins_writelog. The example is in VBScript so slightly different syntax than VB.NET, but there are two parameters.

Let's just let this go as one of those occasional brain farts. I'm using the same help file that you provided the link to. I apparently misread it the first time and never went back to re-read it. (Can I use "getting old" as an excuse?) Thanks again for your help.
