Trigger event in ASP without form submission

I'm building a simple web-based touchscreen interface. I dont know a ton about development but I can write VBScript.

I would like to trigger an event without a form submission which requires a page refresh.

As I understand it, I can't use a javascript "onclick" event because it can only call functions inside the <Script> tags and I can't use the HS object within the <script> tags - only within ASP <% %>

    Is this true?

If so, is there any way around this?

    thanks,
    dan

Rupp will need to repair your post. Looks like you posting the tag < s c r i p t > caused an issue with the board?

Rather than re-inventing the wheel, why not just use my touchscreen interface. It's all done for you and basically free!

I can't edit this post as the edit commands are missing. I'll close this thread and Dan can start a new thread and ensure he puts his code in code blocks or PHP blocks so it will not mess up the rendering of the post.
