I am thinking about trying to write a plugin for this device

mostly due to the price and ease of purchase in the uk. The supplier of the product has said that as long as Homeseer can send UDP packets to the modules these should work.
They have also said that a small conversion is needed to convert from pronto(not sure if HS database uses this) to thier format.
I suppose my question is, is all of this achievable when writing a first plugin and having very limited experience.
