I changes my startup script to set the device string with a computers name instead of IP address and all seems to be working well.
Am I just kidding myself or is this actualy working? I was looking for a way to use a computers name instead of IP since dhcp will reassign the IP randomly, but using the name seems to work for now.
    I enclose my startup file

Windows will do a DNS lookup and it can also use NetBIOS to find it. It all depends on your Windows setup.

If you can type ping something at a DOS prompt and it works, then you can use that something as an address in Network Monitor.
