    Event triggering

    Hi to all;

    Is there a way (or script) to trigger events from message boxes that appear on the screen or from SNMP traps?
    I would like to constantly monitor my APC UPS for power failures and send SMS to my mobile if such an event occurs. (Power failure or power restoration).
    I found comm_apc.txt script but it uses the only COM port of the UPS.
    I would like to continue using the powerchute software which generates a message box, sends SNMP traps and e-mails events and shuts down the system gracefully. But the later (e-mail) is not very practical since homeseer has to check every 2-3 minutes for e-mail reception from the UPS, action which consumes resources.
    So; I want to constantly (not intermittently) monitor for power events (msgbox, SNMP trap, Event log record) and be able to launch an application if such an event occurs.
    Any help will be appreciated.
