Need to run a program via a script

Well I am making headway on my telephone recording system.

In a script, how can I run an external program?

I want to run lame.exe (command line based mp3 encoder) and pass along some variables. I did a search but can come up with nothing but I have figured out how to create folders on the hard drive from a script.

If your wanting to run an exe from a script running in HS use hs.Launch
