    Question

    Rupp,

    Should I consider replacing the geturl statement with hs.URLAction in the script?

      I would if the script were not working for me. Luckly I have never had a problem using geturl.

          You could try changing:
          hs.GetUrl(site,page,false,80)
          to
          siteURL = site & page
          hs.URLAction(siteURL,"GET","","")

          and I believe it should work.

            Fixed Alert

            The following line was inserted replacing the GETURL:

            body = hs.URLAction(site & page,"GET","","")

            and the debug logs now shows a text HTML box.

            Thank you for your help Rupp!

            Just noticed the following though:

            3/26/2005 4:52:35 AM~!~Error~!~Script error in file: custom_cnn.txt: 35764:Still executing last request in line 93

            Is this coming up because the script is running second time and not completed running first time. (timed it at every 5 minutes)?

            Any suggestions? Should it be changed to a VBS script instead?

              Request

              I have a question on the script, Custom_Cnn.txt for breaking news. Is there a way to 'Strip' the "Details soon" from appearing in the device string? It seems that every alert is ended with the words "Details soon"

              I love this script and put the virtual device in the header of my Touchpad. I just think it would look better if I could strip the 'Details soon' from the alert.

              Thanks in advance
              Paul
