    A little dissapointed.

I must say that I was very happy to recieve my new PCI Homeseer modem and Software. It cost me a small fotune by the time it actually landed on my doorstep, being a Canadian customer and all.
Allthough the caller id announce and basic answering machine are fine... I probly much like most Home automation people must find a way to impress our wives and jutify the purchases made for our little endevours.
I just don't know if I can with this modem. From what I understand scripting is all different so the little bit that I know is basicly usless. The script library is not very plentiful and the few that are there do not work.

PLEASE... I would love to hear what others are doing with HSP. Like I said when all is said and done I am having a hard time justifying spending about $250.00 CND for a glorified Caller Id. My old 25.00 answering machine did that.
What do I have to do ( What language) to script for HSP?

What exactly do you want to do with HSP?

You may be a bit confused about the scripting problem. If you want to control HSP1 or 2, you can with the hsp.XXXXXXX VBS commands. It is when you want to write a script to RUN HSP2 as a answering machine that you need the new scripting language.

So for example, my modified script by Andy Shane to control playback, skip, Stop & delete messages via X10 control works fine on both HSP1 & 2.
