How to change Greeting Message remotely

Is there a way to change the out going message (Greeting)on a mailbox by calling in and entering a DTMF button. I would like to change the out going message with out having to record it in front of the HS computer.

I think you can only change the default greeting by using an event and keying in the text you want to change it too.

I never thought of that but I dont see my wife going to that much trouble. She wants to record it in her own voice from a phone . Oh well we will put it on the wish list. Thanks Rupp

You can make your own IVR script to do this. There are a few ways you could go about doing this.

In Homeseer phone you can set a wav file to be the outgoing message. Using an IVR script your can use the RECORD: command to record a message and have it replace the outgoing WAV file that gets placed.

EX.

RECORD:c:\program files\homeseer\outgoing.wav

Ok this is more of what I am looking for. Do you think think that it is possable to record the audio from the phone side with this command in stead of the mic at HS?

Just set your greeting to use message.wav. Via a script have several other customer.wav's be copied over message.wav.
