Any luck in getting a filter function added back into the Warnings script? My local NWS issues a "short term forecast" quite often throughout the day and night, and I would really perfer to not get these as a severe weather event.
I'm sorry I haven't had the chance to update the script yet. I have made a couple of small changes. But haven't had a chance to add the filter yet. I've been working on the recipe package lately. Truthfully for a few weeks. But Between all the overtime I work and the work here at home I haven't had much chance for writing code. Hopefully the work here is about finished and it will leave more time for fun.
No problem Tom, I know how that can go. Hopefully you don't mind, but in the mean time I am providing sort of a hack that will allow users to filter without too much difficulty. I am Not an ASP expert, and I don't know how all the script install stuff in here works, so I didn't want to mess with and end up breaking any of that.
I tried to test on a couple areas, and I think it is filtering out properly, but everyone will have to install this manually until Tom has a "REAL" solution.
In the weatherwarnings.ini file (in Config folder under homeseer root), add the following (you should be able to cut and paste the text between the "-------":

Then, replace the weather warnings.txt file in your scripts directory with the one attached to this message.
You should be good to go now. Just add a pipe delimited list of alert types you want the script to ignore into the weatherwatches.ini file.
There is one small issue I am sure will plague this (if this becomes a big issue before Tom updates his system, I am sure it is a 10 minute fix I just haven't put my mind to fixing in my logic - I kinda took the easy way out). If there is more than one alert for your area, and the last alert in your area is one you set to ignore, I am replacing that with a string that makes HS think there are no alerts. I think the other alerts will still be processed, but then they may be cleared by this last one. Hopefully what I threw together will work while Tom finds time to do it right. And hopefully my instructions don't blow up anyones computer!
