    GassBuddy.asp 0.1

    This is a retitled post of the original since I can 't figure out how to edit the title.

    Discussion about GasBuddy.asp. This asp page is along the same lines as Dan's script but this is more of a visual representation of the lowest prices in a particular area. This asp page refreshes every ten minutes so when you look, your seeing the most up to date data. Just drop both files in you HTML directory. One is the asp page and the other is the style sheet.

    MeSteve there are 2 parts to the URL. Make sure to follow the instructions.

    I used this and it works just fine?

    strURL = "http://www.northdakotagasprices.com/index.aspx?"
    strQS = "s=Y&fuel=A&area=GRAND+FORKS&tme_limit=" & iHours

    I can take out the hyperlink in the next version.

      I got it working using the methon from the gasbuddy script, but using the zip search returned the following url:

      http://www.northdakotagasprices.com/...AIR+FORCE+BASE

        Yes that is correct and the instructions state to :
        ' Go to http://www.gasbuddy.com and key in your zip code.
        ' Grab the first part of the URL up to the ? from the page
        ' and replace the strURL below...
        ' Change the area below from Huntsville to your city.
        ' 2 working examples...

          But if you look, after the "asp?" I get "&area=" instead of "s="

            Here is a quick hack for Audrey that also adds a selector for city. Specific to my cities, but a starting point for others.

              Just updated the GasBuddy.asp to add the HS2.0 header and footers.

                      Here's a mod to Rupp's script that allows you to have as many cities/towns as you wish to be reported on the same page. I work 40 miles from home and prices range greatly between home and work cities. I like checking them all out.

                      Thanks for the great script, Greg!

                        When you said Gas Buddy I thought you were talking about David Kindred.

                          Why-eye-otta!

                          Man, {sniff} the truth hurts. I'm gonna go eat my beans in the corner alone, now.

                            "Shoot, I reckon you boys had enough!"

                            Sorry David, your hat reminded of the movie therefore you became a target. I expect my WAF-NETCID plugin will never work right again...

                              Haha! Bill, I thought it was pretty funny. No need to apologize. I like to dish it out, myself. (You should see the notes Tinkles and I exchange.)
