Database interaction with HS?

I want to be able to hold a list of channel names and numbers in a database (or similar) and be able to refer to them by name to look up the channel. Key reason for this is to either
a) be able to change my TV channel by "goto CNN" or similar and
b) be able to control my DBOX2 using a weburl with a specific channel number.

What's the easiest way to run through and pick up info from a database? Should I use the HS2 config DB? Any help on the scripting would be gratefully received.

Check out HSTV in the scripting section. Very powerful, sounds like it will do what you want. If you are into the pain of writing your code, you can check out the HSTV asp pages....
