  • Help stripping Code to my sign

    I'm New...and I'm trying....

Just bought HS and Home Pro starter kits,

I just got a new sign Alpha 7160c having trouble with stripping

    From a Trivia site

I think LEDAM is great.. ( this was the only reason I bought all this stuff was for my sign)

Trying to make wife happy since my sign is in the living room and MUST display things she likes, you guys know

So I have horoscopes, headlines, weather, news, working great on three line sign.

I have attached the trivia code below; this site has some really nice thing to push to the sign

So if someone can help me properly, pull and format this page.

I have it working except for this p and
    /p

I think a can do the rest

    Thanks

    iNc

Not tested, but should be close enough to give you an approach.

I have posted some code that strips HTML (StripHTML) using regular expressions. I use it frequently for displaying messages on my BetaBrite and for speaking. You may find it useful for other sign applications. If you cannot locate, I can post it again.

BTW, you should be able to simplify code to just use hs.plugin("LEDAM") instead of looping through all plug-ins looking for the name.

This gives an error - End Function not found -

Did some searching and replaced - exit sub - with exit function.

no more error, runs but still won't strip.

And Jim I found yours same thing, won't strip the paragraph open/close

        But thank, I'm getting close.

ps. I have no clue on VB, or scripting just learning by snipping code here and there. go easy on me, I'll get pick up speed

I have a single line sign and I guess I never encountered issues because of that. I would like multiline but my BetaBrite is working fine and I have other things like a Plasma TV on my wish list .

            Jim,
I love my Plasma I got for Christmas. The high definition shows are simply amazing. Couple that with the fact that I get 6 free hi-def channels over the air and I'm in TV heaven.
