This .asp page will show the lyrics for the current song playing with winamp, WM Player and RM player. EvilLyrics will read ID3 tag information, and the song title to then go search a number of sites for the lyrics to
the song.I have only tested it with WInamp myself. The program will keep
the lyrics for all songs played, thus making the information instantanerosally
available the next time the song is played. Through a browser in the program,
you may also browse through all the songs and their lyrics at any time.
FIRST: Credit goes Hanfseer for the original Idea and finding EvilLyrics
in the first place. Next, Credit goes to Michael McSharry, Rupp, kev_t
& Joes_Place for working out the code to display a .txt file within an
ASP page. View the original thread Here.
That said, I really can take no credit for writing any of this or the
idea. I simply put the pieces together and designed an .asp page to
display the information.
I then implemented code to pull the file information
for when the file was saved last, to show when the song was played. From
this you can determine if it is live, or simply the last song played.
Installation instructions are in a readme.txt file in the .zip
