    LiveDistance Discussion thread

Discussion of the LiveDistance script posted in the Script Library forum. This is the best way that I have found to detect if someone is home or not.

Please post any comments, positive or negative.

Total newbie here so please forgive me if I'm doing something stupid!!

Im trying to run the Livedistance script.

I have entered two Google Latitude and User Names, and have entered in my Home Latitude and Longitude.

Running the script recurring every 2 minutes throws up the following error in my log

19/04/2012 09:36:06 LiveDistance Error accessing GOOGLE for user: M51
19/04/2012 09:36:06 LiveDistance Error accessing GOOGLE for user: M52

Is there any other information I am meant to be applying to the script before running it??

    Many thanks in advance

    Dave

I may have just missed it, as I don't think I was aware of this script. It sounds like it is another Google Latitude script. If you can't get by whatever issues you are having, you might want to try Snevl Latitude (here: http://board.homeseer.com/showthread.php?t=149363). However, since I don't know anything about LiveDistance, it may do some things that Snevl Latitude does not.

I don't see the script anywhere. Has it been pulled?

            Thanks....

This is another Google Latitude script, inspired by wpiman's getPosition script.

Im not even close to understanding scripts etc yet, so there's no chance of me working out where I have gone wrong....but in time!!!

I Installed Snevl Latitude script instead and that is up and running fine, so I'll adapt that to see if I'm home or not.

Many thanks for your help and guidance
