Snevl_WW Email Template Line Breaks

I'm new to Snevl_WW and attempting to set up a template for email notifications. In an effort to increase readability, I would like to add line breaks between elements in the message. Unfortunately, any attempt at line breaks (hard returns, \n\n or html tags) causes problems. Either the template info after the hard return disappears when I save it or, in the case of html tags, it generates an error. Is there any way to add line breaks (and/or other formatting commands) to the template?

A $NEWLINE variable has been added in version 2.8, which is now available here: http://board.homeseer.com/showpost.p...30&postcount=1
