login asks for password twice

HS 1.7.44

Often when logging in from a remote location (work), I get the login box twice. It's as if the password doesn't "take" the first time. Always works on the second time.

Also, most of the time the login name and pw are "remembered" in the login box, but not always. I assume this is a local browser issue?

Anyway, I am most curious about the "password twice" issue.

Anyone else see this?

I used to see this frequently. Also in HS2.

For some reason it has now gone away. Sadly I don't know what I changed to make this happen.

I suspect it is some sort of firewall config. I use the Windows XP firewall.

No, this has nothing to do with any firewall. This behaviour has been there since the introduction of webpages in HomeSeer. I once understood this behaviour was a result of the 'HomeSeer security concept'. I never understood what this meant, though
