I have no clue how to access my HS 2.0 machine from other PC's on my network or how to access them from the internet. I have the Windows XP firewall shut off on the HS 2.0 PC. What else do I need to do to gain access?

Start by trying to type in the IP address of your HS server in the address bar of another computer. 192.168.xxx.xxx, etc.
Do you knw how to get the address?

start -> run -> type 'cmd' -> type 'ipconfig' this will give you the IP address. type that into the address bar of IE. Do this on the HS box.

That will work only if you used the standard port 80. I am using port 81 so the address would be http://192.168.1.120:81.Thanks,
T.

To access from the internet, you just replace your internal IP address with your external IP address in the web address.
To find out what your external IP address is, just bring up the about Homeseer web page. This can be found by using /abhs at the end of your internal web page address i.e.:
http://192.168.xxx.xxx/abhs
or maybe http://192.168.xxx.xxx:81/abhs
You may need to configure your router to port forward your HS2 webserver port to your internal IP address of the machine running Homeseer.

It appears that that's what I need to do.
However. I'm not sure how to do that. Here's a screen print of that option on my router; What info do I need to get this to work?

Type anything you want in "Service Name" (I use HS2). In Starting Port and Ending Port, put whatever port number you are using for HS, which you can find in the Setup section. The default is 80, but if you have IIS installed, it may default to 81. Finally, put the internal IP address of your HS server in the IP address. That's it.
From outside your router (house), you can enter your external IP address and colon port number, e.g., http://65.187.55.222:81.
Better yet, go to no-ip.com and set up a rolling IP address there, then you can have a nifty address that is always the same, like http://frankshomeseer.no-ip.info, and do the "email port forwarding" option onto your router. It's free!

OK, I've got it set up as you've explained. I'm able to access my HS PC from the PC's on my network, using 192.168.1.4 or http://69.168.162.71:80. However, I had a friend of mine try to access it from his house at http://69.168.162.71:80 and all he gets is the "cannot display" timeout screen.
