I used to be able to load an image http://guest:guest@..... and that would take care of the log in for other uses such as an applet reading a file from the server. But now I can not get around the log in on the web server. Does anybody have any ideas?? I tried to set the initial page and disable password but I could not use the page file name and ?Command= after the link, it only worked if there was nothing for a filename. I tried to change the file from vbs to asp and it did not work either.
The reason I need a file to not have password is so that a guest applet can turn on and off a light for my reef tank without someone going to the homeseer log in. The asp file runs hs.RunEvent() and thats it.
The main reason behind this is that some people get confused on how to log on and sometimes the applet does not show the log in screen so the light buttons do not work then.
Any ideas would be nice.
