Temperature monitoring - What is needed?

I'm just getting started with HS. At this time, my system is primarily used for lighting control. I'm also getting started using UltraView2. I see that many of you have temperature monitoring devices in your UltraView2 pages. How is this done? What hardware are you using? Is any special software (plugin) required?

Most people on this forum use a TEMP05 system by Midon Design: http://www.midondesign.com/, or Pete Garyga's plug in/ one wire interface: http://www.garyga.com/. These use CAT5 cable with inexpensive sensors that can be mounted anywhere you'd like along the cable. There are guys on this board with lots of expertise in this area, just do a search for TEMP05,temperature sensors or 1 wire interface.
It's easier that you might think!
