NETGEAR DG814

Hi? everybody !

I need help to configure my ethernet-modem, it's a NETGEAR DG814, here is my IP adress family :

WAN : 212.xxx.xxx.xxx
LAN : 192.168.0.1
PC : 192.168.0.2

The HS port is set to 8080 and the "localhost" connection work correctly.

In the DG814, i have declared a HTTP "forward" for the 192.168.0.2 adress and for the port 8080 (start=8080, end=8080)

The connection failed when i try http://212.xxx.xxx.xxx:8080

Of course, i tried with the HTTP "forward" on the 192.168.0.1 adress, and that don't work too.


My OS is W2K.

The ipconfig/all command give this result :

If you are trying to connect to :8080 from your internal network(lan)(192.168.0.2) you would use http://192.168.0.2:8080.
If your are trying to connect from the internet on a machine outside your firewall(wan) then you would use http://212.xxx.xxx.xxx:8080.

I called a friend and tell him to connect to the 212.xxx.xxx.xxx:80 adress and it's work perfectly !
My error was that i believed i can use this adress too.
