Transmitter or receiver issue

I have been away for 7 months, I turned my current cost back on, and I am not getting any readings from the transmitter. The transmitter is blinking red every few seconds saying that it is transmitting, or so I think. I've tried new batteries and pushing the red reset button with no luck. Any ideas or am I stuck buying a new set up?

The console doesn't show anything, but the time and other features are working

Move the console closer and see if it picks up the transmitter.
