    PI not creating devices

I've installed the plugin. Added a new smart meter, but the PI doesn't create any devices in the devices tab.
I've enabled plugin debug but there aren't any errors. If I enable "Log data received" I see data coming in

    Code:

Hi! Not sure what is happening here. Are you sure there are no devices/features created? All filters turned off in the device view?

Can you post (or PM if you prefer) me a complete message from your smartmeter? A message usually starts with a / and ends with a !.

    Thanks!

Hi Stefxx, thank you for your time.

I've double checked in /deviceutility but there aren't any new devices.
My smart meter is a Landis Gyr E360

Thanks for the log. I only see corrupted messages, none of them are valid. That explains why no devices are being created.

Either your cable is not working or the serial configuration is incorrect. I believe the correct settings should be 115200 8N1.

Yes that what I though to so I bough a new cable from SOS solutions that should support my Smart Meter

          Edit -
settings are correct according to this site. The only difference I see with the E350 and E360 is that the E360 is ESMR 5.0

The plugin supports ESMR5. But the messages received are corrupt.

Any way you can test the cable? On another machine? Open a terminal program and read the input?

BTW, 10 meters is quite long for a serial cable...

hmmm I seem to also have a problem with my other serial adapter now. I think it's a power issue. Let me check and I'll come back with more info later.
Fijn weekend en bedankt voor je tijd

So I soldered a 1K ohm resistor between 5V and RXD and the data coming looks good. However there aren't any devices created.

Hi. Much better, but still corrupt. If the checksum doesn't match, the message will be discarded.

I've checked the first 5 messages from the log, this is what I see as corruptions:

                  msg1, 8:50:00
                  6/12/2021 8:50:00 PM 1)0:32.7.0(238.2*V)

                  msg2, 8:50:01
                  6/12/2021 8:50:01 PM 0%0:96.7.21(00010)

                  msg3:, 8:50:02
                  6/12/2021 8:50:02 PM 0- :96.13.0()

                  msg4, 8:50:03
                  6/12/2021 8:50:03 PM V)

                  msg5, 8:50:04
                  6/12/2021 8:50:04 PM 0-0:96.13. ()

Right I get it. Even after shortening the cable (to 6m), I keep getting an error message in every telegram. I'm going to try it with another chip.
