    Gas meter

I was always using the hs3 plugin and that worked fine, i dicided to buy the hs4 plugin, mainly to support all the work you do.
But i wonder for power you have usage per day, week etc. why not for the gas usage?

Hi! Good question. I guess there are two reasons: 1. Nobody ever requested this and 2. I don't have gas so I never missed it.

I looked briefly into this, and I must conclude that there isn't much to report on hourly/daily/weekly/etc intervals. The P1 gas information only reports the current meter value, nothing about current usage, peak usage etc etc. So unless some fancy calculations - which I do not plan to implement - I guess this is it.

Hi, I also upgraded yesterday the plugin to the HS4 version, in the HS3 version there was “Gas verbruik vandaag” can you implement that also in the HS4 version?

          Ok, ok...

Please test latest beta, it includes Hourly/Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Yearly totals for gas readings. Note, I DO NOT HAVE GAS MYSELF SO TESTING IS LIMITED. Suggest to backup your system first.

The devices are created (values are 0), but every 1 minute i see this in the log.

Forgot to say thank you for the fast action!
The daily value is now 1, the weekly, month and year are 0.

The daily value is now “1” can you make it like the HS3 plug with 3 digits behind the comma (for example 1,123)

Please try again with the latest beta.

If the gas total devices have already been created by a previous beta, they have to be removed manually so they can be recreated. Stop the plugin, remove the gas total devices and then start the plugin with the latest beta version.

                  Thanks!

Done, the log lines are gone, the values are now 0,000.
what should be the refresh rate?
Should I delete the already existing Gas total also? There is an “!” In the ID of the Time stamp and Gas total device.
Devices are ending with: …..!tst and ….!total

Depending on your Smart Meter, every 5 minutes (DSMR5) or every hour (DSMR4).

I have an DSMR4 meter, the GAS ….!total device is update now two times ( 11:03 and 12:03 )
But the Daily gas total etc. are still 0,000
                        Anny idea why?

Because I am a master in fixing one bug and introducing 2 new bugs

And also because I can't test it myself as I don't have gas.

                          Please try beta 5.

                            Beta 5 fixed it 👍
All the 4 devices (in my case) Daily, weekly monthly and yearly are now updated, to the same value.
Thats because it’s starting to count from today I supose?

Yes, the counting starts from the moment the HS4 feature is created. The Smart Meter itself doesn't provide any historical information so it has to be calculated in the plugin, and that will start from the current value.

You should see a different value for "Daily" tomorrow, as that should be reset to 0 at midnight.
