Renaming root devices

Hi,

I would like to rename the created root devices.
If I do so they are automatically renamed back to the original names. Can you make this possible?
The features can be renamed without problems.
I am using plug-in v4.0.11.6.

I spoke too soon, the values are not updating anymore and I have the following messages in the HS log: Fake mode enabled... Plugin stopped!

Yes, now the values are updating again, thanks.
But unfortunately my features custom icons are gone too, they are reset to the default icons...

Yes, they get "set" at every new version. That is by design, to avoid issues with updates and changes between versions.

I have a custom icon set for all my devices, can you make it possible for me to change those so they match with the other devices?

That is hard to maintain, and there are many plugins behaving similar so not sure you want to pick that battle.

Possible workaround: instead of editing all features, simply replace the images in <HomeSeer>/html/images/SmartMeter. That is quicker than editing all individual features, and easy to restore after updating the plugin.

Ok, I am going to try that method.
I know of others that set the icons once and then leave it alone for the user to edit.
In case of trouble you can delete the device or feature to let it be recreated with all the defaults.
