    Is DashBox required?

    I should of asked this earlier but I ordered and received a GEM today.
    I looked at an install pdf and they all point to the dashbox that I did not buy.

    I have to install the box, get a few micro cts in and try the plugin.

    other question I have with Brultech is there is no db9 plug... they show wires into the terminals then other side into bashbox. I was hoping just db9 into my digiport???

    they did not have any ethernet/wifi boards in stock but sold me the base unit with blue board so they can be added in the future... so was hoping serial for now.

    thoughts?

    You do not need anything but the GEM. Dashbox isn't mentioned in my manuals, but the are a bit old.

    Mine didn't come with a DB9 connector. You'll have to make or buy an adapter to connect to the terminals.

      they messed up on my order.. so sending me the missing cts..and they are throwing a db9 adapter in

        Ben is good to work with. I'm running the Gem with wifi and Dasbox. Was looking to link HS too.
