I was using the 30' monoprice cable but couldn't get it to work with a second Kinect on the HS machine. I installed a USB 3.0 card and the cable started working. Turns out it was a insufficent bandwith problem.

I don't know what I was doing wrong before but it seems to work now. I just restarted HS3 and it works.

Hmmmm. I'm not sure if it works like that.
Ha! Apparently it doesn't! I'd try it again with a powered cable. I noticed that Monoprice has special Kinect extension cables.

I use the adapter that came with the kinect that plugs in the wall and put the monoprice cord between the kinect and the adapter thus extending the original cord.
