Z-Wave Wall Plugs and Duplex Receptacle Recommendations

Everybody posted a lot of great info. Those Minostron mini outlets look pretty nifty. The price is also nice so I'll get a two-pack of them to play with. Even though I'm a fan of leviton products, I'll get a few Enbrighten items since the prices are lower and they also have the B07RQ8NWXS which is similar to all the other light switches in my house. My house was built in 1947 and I figured it was just a matter of time before I ran ground wires to the light switches... now I have incentive to do it. Just like everything else, over time I will continue to add and try new products for either playing or fine tuning.

The same company also makes a dual outlet unit where each outlet can be controlled individually. Perfect for the master bedroom dual bedside lamps.

I've been reading through the forum and I've seen a few brands that are not recommended. I also followed Rupp's Amazon link (https://www.amazon.com/s?k=z-wave+wall+outlet). Any suggestions on some reliable ones known to work with HS4? I still haven't had a chance to try setting anything up and it would be nice to have a good idea that what I buy is known to be compatable. That way if it does not work I can pretty much rule it out as the problem. I am considering the enbrighten 55256, but wonder if anybody recommends any other wall receptacles.

I'd swear by Leviton. I've replaced all of the wall dimmers in the house with them, as well as three Leviton Relay wall switches for the fluorescents in the garage.
My switched outlets are "Homesettings" which are no longer available; I was an early adopter of Z-Wave. None has ever failed, but when/if they do, I'll be going with Leviton for those as well.

I recently added 3 of the Leviton wall switches and really like them. I will be adding a receptacle and will probably add the Leviton one as well. I do have a couple of the GE units but want to see if the Leviton receptacles have more settings. The wall switches do and the price is comparable. Note that most of the receptacles only control 1 of the plugs. t he other is always on.
If you get any Lamp Modules, be mindful of what you plug into them. Too much draw will burn them out. Such as connecting the Christmas Tree lights (non-LED) up to one.
Any of the Z-Wave units should work with HomeSeer. (and now the ones which do not will come out of the woodwork)

Appreciate the heads up on using dimmer switches. Not sure if I am going to use one, but no telling what the future holds.

This was discussed last November, here:

I have a mix of Homeseer-brand and GE/Jasco-brand Z-Wave Plus wall switches and dimmers. I have only one outlet, and it's a Homeseer. If I was buying today, I'd get the GE/Jasco Enbrighten product. The simple and portable alternative is to get a Z-Wave plug-in switch (a box that plugs into a regular outlet). No wiring required.

Do not use a Z-Wave dimmer switch connected to a standard receptacle: if you plug something into it that is not within the dimmer's load specifications (e.g. a space heater), it will destroy the switch. Z-Wave on/off wall switches connected to whatever you wish are ok, since they use a relay.
