I'm thinking this camera. u think it is overkill for getting the bus vandals from 50' away with low-medium light? could i find one cheaper?

    http://www.scdlink.com/Details.cfm?P...277&category=0

with this dvr box and other cameras

    http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product...se=&lang=en-US

for the church. then i'll get the 9 channel one for me at hoem

    http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product...US&Sp=C&topnav=

in the church i'll set up the expensive camera watching the parking lot, and then one camera in the sound tech room, one in the lobby, one in the basement.

i'll use the ptz camera from the 4 channel package at my house. the question is, where would i want 9 cameras at my house?
    1. front door
    2. cul de sac
    3. back yard
    4. litter bugs on other side of fence
    5. main living space upstairs
    6. main living space down stairs
    7. side yard
    8. bat cave (where alfred, my HS computer is)
    9. future use?

    what are your thoughts?

I'll let you borrow Nipper, she has taken the game way too seriously, to the point I am thinking of a name change, to something like Dinner.

            I don't know,
the church can't afford the security system right now. I may just sleep under the bus Friday night with a paint ball gun (and digital camera)

Don't think you would need the digital camera, during the sermon Sunday morning just make mention of kids / clothes with paint on them

You might even have some off-colored kids (careful how I say that) in the service

so there i was, layin in bed, me with my laptop, my trophy wife with hers, just having a good evening, windows open on a hot summer night. all of a sudden we hear this really loud yelling, several F bombs and other four letter words.

I could tell by the nature of the voice that it was a young man. i was quite inclined to go and have talk with them, but my wife informed me that they would probably just come back and egg our house (again). Gosh, and we live in one of the nicer neighborhoods. There's this quaint old country store right around the corner from the cul de sac we live in. I went there the other night to get some gatorade for my sick wife and there were no less than a dozen "punk kids" loitering around the parking lot, this was 10:50pm. whatever happened to a good ole fashioned no loitering and curfew law!

                            My Age has been Noticed

I very quietly confided to my friend
that I was having an affair

He turned to me and asked
                            Are you having it catered?

                              Neil,
would you be able to determine if the DVR system would be able to interface w/ the Maestro "awareness" module? I own the maestro pack, and if it can get the camera feed, I think that will put me over the top on buying one of these. Maestro says it can work w/"any" IP camera, so it probably would work. the thing that has me concerned is the product description for the cameras/dvr says you need "internet explorer AND client software" so it may not be as simple as putting in the ip address.

                              Thanks,

                              Ian

I haven't tried that yet, the camera's are not IP though

I can probably put the URL for the webserver there though. The main issue i would see is that the webserver does not split out each camera image so the one camera screen would show the entire web interface (9 cameras plus controls).

I will try and give it a shot tonight and let you know
