Heh... GameBoy Advance SP as a HomeSeer front end...

Thought some people here would get a chuckle out of this...

After being unsuccessful in finding a suitable general-purpose LCD keypad that didn't cost a few hundred dollars, I decided to repurpose a Nintendo GameBoy Advance SP as a front-end for HomeSeer...

I had a bit of help from my father (who's a retired EE that needed something to do anyway ;-) ) with the hardware end, and I provided the parts, research, and software. So far, I've written a rudimentary UI in VB script. Eventually I'm figuring on having some moving sprites and audio clips...

Oh yeah, forgot to give the son credit for that one. I needed a temporary solution while I track down some relatively large heat shrink tubing, and with the ~50lb of legos in this house, it seemed like a good way to make a custom project box. ;-)

(The circuit board is inside the work box, where no one can get to it, so I don't have to worry about the legos falling apart and causing a short...)
