Automated Roll Shade Control (Exterior)
We recently moved into a new house. It has a 94.5" x 36" arched window and a 94.5" x 48" rectangular window in the Living/Media room. These windows face due west in Las Vegas (Mojave Desert >110 Degrees F on some days). The arch has a "sunburst" design shutter, but the blades all face the same direction; so they keep sun out on left side, but let it in onto seating area on right side. The bottom blinds also leak light onto the TV.
There is a Mesquite tree that helps to shade window, but Home-theater needs darker room at times.
I'm looking at getting one 10' x 8' shade or one 10' x 40" and another 10' x 54" to put on the exterior of these two windows. The shades I'm looking at come with a beaded metal or plastic chain. What kind of motor do I need and which z-wave controller would be best. I may get shade/motor from Worthington Distributors here in Las Vegas.
Any help suggestions greatly appreciated. I'd like to keep cost to a minimum. The available outlet is under the cover for the patio.
