  • Recommendations for best way to learn C

Does anyone have recommendations for a place to learn C online?
An engineer at work has me interested in Atmel controllers and their compiler is based on C. He also says it is a base to learn C++ eventually.

I do medium VB scripting now without much difficulty.

    Any online recommendations are appreciated.

    Cheers

You might look at iTunes U or other online courses that you can go at your own pace. A good crash course is the lectures done at Harvard, CS50. Teaches you some of the tricks to help keep your code from being hacked as well as the C stuff. Look at the many online MOOC sites like coursera, etx.org, and the like and sign up for a course you don't care about a grade and get the C stuff, then move on. FYI MOOC (massive open online course) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massive_open_online_course

I will look at those, thank you. It just dawned on me I picked up a fair amount of Labview training from YouTube. I should check there also.

      Thank you!
