Just one of the multiple reason I do not use with home automation. My guess is the mems microphone operate on energy hitting the micropone. Sound is energy as is a laser beam.

After talking with my son who has a PhD in computer and electrical engineering, he noted that radiation is a problem for instrumentation that goes into space. As he reminded me Laser is an acronym for light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation. This makes sense. Since this requires line of sight, don't put your assistant near a window.Comment
