  • UK: Cheap Appliance Modules for RFXCOM

    Guys

Looking for advice - anyone have some suggestions for cheap UK available appliance modules (remote sockets) that work with RFXCOM?

Given the amount of 4 pack remote sockets on sale these day, I figured that some must work ok with RFXCOM! However, after buying some from Lidl that "appeared" to work (Lighting4), finding that they were not going to work, I dont want to collect any more gifts to automate the neighbours xmas tree lights!

    Thanks in advance

    David

Guys - thanks for the quick replies!

Jon - the Etekcity ones - do they work ok when adjacent to each other?

I am thinking having 4 adjacent on a 4 bar mains adapter.

I ask as the HE ones and another I cant remember refused to work when next to each other and indeed....some are too wide to even fit.

I will check the lightwave ones too...did not think they were that cheap.

Excellent, thanks..will go order a set, and a bargain at the price.

What module type are they with RFXcom?

LightwaveRF is supported by all RFXtrx433 firmware types.
Please see also chapter 2.2.2 in the RFXtrx User Guide
                http://www.rfxcom.com/epages/7816546...es%2FDownloads

To receive LightwaveRF remotes enable the AD protocol. Note that this will reduce sensitivity of the Oregon protocol. See chapter 2.4
For transmit you do not need to enable the AD protocol and you can use for example an X10 or HomeEasy remote.

I use Bye Bye Standby BBSB4AW sockets with my RfxTrx433 with the ARC_module protocol. They are now only used for Xmas lights, but having 20+ re-capped BBSB4AW's (See my other BBSB4AW post if you need to know how to do that) will give me some HS3 bling this year

Time to get them lights up !

                      Thank you!

It seems that is supported with one of my two RFX devices, so a bonus!
