Found the answer in another thread. You have to have a local account that controls events with the exact same credentials as myHS (username & password). -
Yes events are scenes. You need to check "include as voice command" in option and add a voice command. I just tried and I was unable to get my new events discovered also. It used to work for me.Leave a comment:

Help with scenes
For some reason I am unable to get alexa to discover events. Which of the homeseer skills should I be using? Where do you tell skill to discover scenes? Am I correct that homeseer events show up as scenes?
