HomeSeer Home Automation Skill not executing events

I have been using successfully the HomeSeer Home Automation Skill for several years now running a simple multiple step event by saying "Alexa tell Homeseer to run event Good Night" Alexa responds "do you want to run event Good Night". I respond "yes" and the event does NOT run. Recently this skill has become very intermittent. In fact most of the time it is NOT working. Below you will see several examples from my log.

    Event NOT working:
Jul-28 6:45:03 PM HSTouch Server Opening connection from:192.168.1.102/35142
Jul-28 6:42:47 PM TTS Speak (json) Do you want me to run event good night?
Jul-28 6:42:47 PM Info Heard: run event good night
Jul-28 6:40:14 PM TTS Speak (json) Do you want me to run event good night?
Jul-28 6:40:14 PM Info Heard: run event good night
    Event working:
Jul-27 10:24:43 PM Event: Event Trigger "Occupancy Good Night"
Jul-27 10:24:15 PM TTS Speak (json) Do you want me to run event good night?
Jul-27 10:24:15 PM Info Heard: run event good night
You will notice above that I requested two time for Alexa to run event Good Night and the event was NOT triggered. I get an unsuccessful beep from Alexa. I can still run the events from HSTouch. This skill had been working very well.

Does anyone know if these skill is having problems? I am not seeing many other complaints.

    Hey Sparky,
There are a couple of different ways to trigger a Homeseer event via Alexa, the method you’ve used is not one that I currently use, however, it looks like it should work. I noticed in your log that the event “Occupancy Good Night” did trigger, is that not the event that you intended to trigger? I believe in order to trigger an event with the standard Home Automation skill you need to use the full name of the event. An example using the event name from your log, “Alexa, tell Homeseer to run the Occupancy Good Night event”

Could you post a screenshot of the event?

Just a suggestion, I use the Jon00 Alexa skill/helper script which will work really well for what you are trying to do. When we go to bed we say, Alexa tell Homeseer good night. This drops the need for a couple of the words required with the standard HS Alexa skill. That way you can name the event what ever you’d like and use a phrase you setup in Jon00 Echo skill helper.
