Ring devices as well. It only needs to have HS to program it in and we're good to go. One note: I'm hoping that they figure out how to send a TTS string to Alexa. I think it can be done but only time will tell.

Timon I'm already doing TTS with Alexa. I put the detail of how in another post in this forum. Just search Alexa TTS. It works very well

I thought it required windows and I'm pure Linux.

Nope, works best on Linux. You need to install the linux subsystem on Windows to get it to work on Windows. So it will run natively for you

I realize this is an old thread, but...

Using Alexa's Virtual Buttons skill you can trigger Alexa Routines from HomeSeer. There is a sample VB script in their Examples post here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/examples-31398929

                Code:
                Sub Main(ByVal vbutton As String)

                  dim accessCode = "ACCESS_CODE"

                  dim host = "https://api.virtualbuttons.com"

                  dim path = "/v1?virtualButton="+vbutton+"&accessCode="+accessCode

                  dim result = hs.GetURL(host, path, True, 443)

                  hs.WriteLog("msg", result)

                End Sub
You must replace ACCESS_CODE with the personalize access code you get when you enable and link the skill, and then specify which button you want to press in the script's Parameters field.

Note that while you have to create a Patreon account to enable and link the skill (all Alexa Smart Home skills have to link to something), you do not have to join a membership tier unless you want more than one Virtual Button.
