    Status Only devices on Alexa

I have some virtual switches that are set as Status Only and although Alexa can see them when they change in HS3 they don't change on Alexa. If I remove the Status Only on one of them then they will change on Alexa. At this point I consider this an HS3 bug.

In addition I have door switches that don't appear in Alexa at all.

And I as others have dome devices that will not show back up in Alexa if they were deleted inside of Alexa. In the past if a device was deleted you could rescan and get it back but that doesn't seem to work anymore. I deleted one by mistake and now I can't get it back although I've not tried deleting it in HS3 then recreating it.

I don't see this as a bug at all... the Alexa smart home API has no concept of a status only switch, that is a HS construct so how can HS3 confirm to the switch API without actually having commands? For what you are after is the new Alexa sensor, but this is for motion and contact sensors etc. The ring doorbell uses this API for ring status updates.

Homeseer can only work within the parameters set by Amazon which states a switch should have actions and status.

I think the only bug here is that you can see them in Alexa at all... All status only switches should be filtered.

Hopefully at some point this will work. I'm using these to show the washer or dryer is running. This is done by monitoring the power used then setting the virtual device as needed. I do the update with a script so I can make it status only and still control it but not allow manual control using the off and on buttons.
