Anyone using the new echo show 5?

Curious if anyone had it intergrated yet?

I thought it has not been actually released yet, just available for preorder.

I have one and it is great. I especially like the dedicated home automation controls, so you can turn devices on and off if Alexa does not understand you.

So are the control the same as in the cell app?

Aren't the new controls rolling out to all Echo Shows and the Spot? Thought I read that someplace.

Probably, but they are great. The 5 is very compact and has great screen resolution. I have it on my nightstand.

I wonder what kind of deal Amazon will have on these for Prime Day? For a while you could buy 2 and get them for $75 each. I would expect to see that or better. I think these might work better in the guest bedrooms than regular Echos because the screen makes them look more like traditional alarm clocks.

Do the Alexa hints not annoy anyone that has one. I can't stand these showing over and over. Disabling cards is the only way I've found to get rid of these. Anyone else find a way?

They just don't bother me enough to worry about.
