Recreating Alexa devices or starting over

I want to basically rebuild my Alexa smart home devices. I'd rather not totally delete everything as I have no HS routines that I want to keep.

I want to delete the device and then reload them so they only use the Voice fields and not the group/room fields. I've set them up but they don't automatically update.

I've tried this in the past but Alexa can't find any devices that were deleted. How can this be done?

My way of thinking there should be some easy way to delete then recreate any device.

So all you need to do is disable voice commands on the devices you do not want to control and then discover. If this doesn't work disable all voice commands using the drop down from the devices menu (be sure no devices are hidden) and enable one light device. Then try to discover.

That doesn't remove any devices from Alexa. All of the devices are still there. Do they need to be removed manually?
