    Wired Water Sensor

I don't like switching batteries so I am looking for a water sensor that connects to a DC power supply. However, all I found are just battery operated. Are you aware of any that take a power supply.

Alternatively, I would be ok drilling a hole into the device and using something like a "battery simulator" that actually takes power from a DC power supply. Are you aware of anything like that?

Here using a GRI 2600 12VDC water sensor. Its been fine for over 10 years now.

Pete, I should have been more specific. I am looking for a sensor that communicates WIRELESSLY but gets power through a wire.

I should have asked the question earlier as then I would have pulled a wire to those places where I need the sensor while the walls are open. Oh well.

Pete, btw, I assume you are connecting this to your security system (that also work on 12V) and have it configures as a single zone. Then you have homeseer checking the status of the home security system and send an alarm when water is detected. Is this how you have it set up?
