    graphical mapping of physical switches

I have a need to draw up a physical map of all switches in my home. I have nearly 80 of them and would like to make a reference sheet up so my family can figure out what each switch is and does. Is anyone already using a tool for this?

If you have a floorplan of your home, you could place a number where each switch or group of switches is located. A separate key would then provide information on each group/switch.

Google SketchUp is free and although it allows you to create 3D objects works just as well for 2D floorplans

I have used the free version of floorplanner.com to draw up a floor plan. It makes a nice looking plan with some furniture items without the need of knowing nor having materials, etc. I could have done one at work using high end design software, but used the above on my chromebook at home instead.
