Wow ! A better mousetrap... when it involves motion detectors

I’ve seen companies researching this idea, glad to see someone’s accomplished it. Looks like the motion detection is still in development though. Unless I’m misunderstanding the cost, a system for my house would be over $2,000!

Would be even better if they fulfill this promise as noted here : https://www.automatedhome.co.uk/hard...mart-home.html for internal plugs and / or add mqtt.

There's also Aura and Radiomaze. Probably others as well.

Could be very interesting if it's accurate enough. Would get even better if every creature, including pets, could be individually tracked.

Xandem seems expensive and not very accurate (5-10 feet) with 10 nodes per 1500 square feet and a gateway per floor, but at least it has an open API (beta) and can be run locally.

Aura Home by Cognitive systems needs way less beacons (1-3 for 1500/2000/2500 square feet). Couldn't find anything about accuracy, nor API. Seems app/cloud only.

Radiomaze seems limited to security purposes and runs on some Wi-Fi routers.

Another one I found is Origin Wireless, which claims 1-2cm accuracy. They seem to develop 2 systems, one runs on Wi-Fi routers, the other uses a pair of Smart Radio. It seems the latter would be most accurate (I read Wi-Fi can't give that level of accuracy elsewhere).

This is very interesting, I think: http://witrack.csail.mit.edu/
          Check the video.
Plugins I developed for HS4: Somfy Local, MiLight (LimitlessLED), Updates, Volvo (VoC), OpenTherm Gateway (OTGW)
Running HS4 Pro on Windows 10 Pro on a Synology VM, with Node-RED running as a container.
