HS3 in a van?

    Use these:

    Supply side hooked to your 12V rail, output side powering your LEDs. They come in a variety of constant current levels, 300mA, 350mA 1000mA etc.

    Then you connect the PWM wire to a PWM output pin of an Arduino, and control it with either Michael or Greigs plugin.

    This is how I'm doing the lighting in my home now. I use the LDD-H board mount variants supplied by a 48V DC PSU, powering BridgeLux Vero 10 COBs in the downlights. Concept is exactly the same just with different voltages.

    Alternatively, the Qubino RGBW Z-Wave module can be configured to control 4 x 12/24V lights independently. And it only requires a 12/24 VDC supply.

    I use SeeLevel gauges in my Airstream. It’s an ultrasonic transmitter into the tank. Avoids those issues. But I’d like something I could read with HS3.

    One thing to consider is your battery usage. Sending sensors and such over radio waves will use more power then wired. I would consider wiring as much as possible.

    There are a few DC powered LED dimmers on the market. I would use a buck/boost converter, voltage regulation, etc.

    have a look at MQTT and the Tasmota stuff, i bet you could do nearly all of what you want using that.

    Built on a Rasberry Pi, which is powered by 5V I believe. Then use a buck converter to supply 5V from your 12V rail?

    HS3 in a van?

    I have noticed that new class B RV’s have touch screen systems that control lighting (including 12vdc dimming, tank monitors, generator controls, etc.

    I’m looking into buying a cargo van and unfitting it myself to a RV. I would like to incorporate a touch screen system and, of course, I thought of HS3 with fire tablets.

    Is is there a low power 12vdc PC that would work? Can I use my home license?

    Is there a better system for this already built at hobbyist pricing?
