  • Wyze Sense integration

Is anyone looking at the Wyze Sense line and integration into HomeSeer? I see from this YouTube video that someone has apparently written something to connect them to Home Assistant. This apparently allows for the use of the Wyze Sense motion and door sensors without an internet connection so no IFTTT. They are also not using the camera at all but plugging the receiver into a USB on their HA system if I am understanding the setup corectly. I am not familiar with HA so I may be off on that part.

I took a look and see that the CAM to 900 MHz bridge was reverse engineered and a Python script developed to essentially emulate the CAM side. From this base another developer made a Home Assistant component. The same could be done as a Homeseer plugin, but I suspect nobody has taken this step. 900 Mhz is same spectrum used for Zwave so I would expect the same sensor range as one experiences with no-hop Zwave.
