Don't expose your server to the Internet! Use a VPN or myHomeSeer.

You have exposed HomeSeer to the Internet. By doing so, you have accepted the risk that this sort of a thing can happen. Don’t expose HomeSeer to the Internet if you are not willing to accept the risk of bad actors!

if you need access to HS remotely, then use MyHS or a VPN.

I use MyHomeseer to access Homeseer outside of my home. However, with a Raspberry Pi, I just set up an easy, peasy VPN, which gets me to my home network: http://kamilslab.com/2017/01/22/how-...r-using-pivpn/

Wiel if this is a Windows box and you don't have much network experience, then you could install PeerBlock as an easy way to block IPs or netblock ranges via GUI and see all the connections.

Can do all this with your firewall as well, and take things further with IDS/IPS such as Snort.

These can still be applied when relying on a VPN as those are not invulnerable to bugs or exploits either.

You could at least go to Settings, network tab
Check on Enable IP Hack Blocking
Set a long time for the blocking, and a small number for invalid hits before the block is applied.

At least change the port off of port 80 to something unique and difficult to guess. Pick a number between 1024 and 65535. That will prevent bots from snooping and looking for web servers listening on port 80.

Thne just access your HS site via http://ipaddressort

Ideally you would not have Hs exposed to the Internet. Like others have said, use MyHs or VPN to access remotely.

                All,

many thanks for suggestions. I use Win10 on a PC.

MyHS, VPN, Peerblocks, Enable IP Hack Blocking and Change IP-Port.

I'will go and use MyHS to protect.

                Thanks, Wiel
