    Video Conferencing Solutions for 2020+?

So guys, given the situation we're currently in with the COVID-19 virus, we are expecting an even bigger emphasis on video conferencing to take place once normal work resumes.

What is the current trend for video conference in the workplace? we see lots of companies sticking with Cisco for their video conferencing needs, but what are the best alternatives out there? what are you guys integrating with HomeSeer?

    Thanks!

Are you asking about desktop "Go To Meeting" type conferencing? Skype-like products? Formal Conference Room type virtual meetings?

Those are usually expensive and proprietary. Depending on what you want to accomplish with Homeseer I guess you can use the UltraMon3 plugin to detect when there is network traffic specific to the video conferencing system and use that to control lights, lower screens, power projectors on or off, etc. What are you looking to do with a Homeseer integration?

Nothing specific, just wanted to know what you guys are seeing on this front. Most companies use Cisco with Crestron for their Video Conference Room needs, but not all companies are willing to shell out 50k or 60k $ for this solution for each of their Huddle Rooms.

So I thought that maybe there's already a solution in place for HomeSeer to integrate with some of the popular video conference alternatives out there, like Zoom or Microsoft Teams. This would be a god send for small to medium companies.
