    One wire info

    Michael,

Can you steer me in the right direction for one wire info. I would like to put few up but the budget is low.

    Thanks

Finally have 2 TemoLincII's working together

I was able to get two TempLincII to work together by have one program for Report on Request and one
Report on Change. I guess if both are programed for
Report on request and HS is contiually requesting then one is "walking" "talking" over the other.
Should be some way to set differnent report intervals or they should not walk one eather other
since they are on different house codes etc.
Whole idea of addressing different modules.
So there is some bug in the either the Templine
protocal or HS requesting data ...something.
All I know is my an experiment I tired programming one for report on request and the 2nd one as report on change wala......
whooo.....ahhhh Temperature data from my outside TempLinc and Temperature from Inside.
Thought this info might help others or might
get to the understanding or bug why both
can not be programed the same.

Two TempLinc II don't work together

Rupp, still frustrated. I just reieved my 3RD TempLinc and this one does work can program but only my its self. I have tried bother TempLincs in same outlet and bother can be programmed and report fine in HS. But on;y one at a time. When I hve bother programmed and they do seem to program in HS. But ony one reports and the 2nd one just does not give valid data.
    Her is log data.

Do Not understand why you can't get thsese damn things to work reliable.

    Micheal,
Don't apologize for asking good questions. I was thinking along these lines. Lets say you want to "poll" the device every 5 minutes. Then create a reoccurring event to run every 5 minutes and put the script in the script to run field. Better yet if all you want is the device string updated you can add a one liner in the script to run field of the reoccurring event
    &HS.PollDevice "A1"

    This will force a poll.

Rupp , and how does that script dictate or set the polling
time rate interval? I really am not a programmer. So I am probably asking a dumb question. I was looking back at some of my old posts and some of my current questions I asked a year ago or so. But since I don't regularly hack around with HS, I am on a steep relearning curve. Sorry.
I just need to play with the script and experiment.

    Michael,
You can always create a script to poll the device using something like :

    HS.PollDevice "A1"
    status = HS.DeviceStatus("A1")

    TEMPLinc II report on request?

I have finally been able to program my one working TempLinc II to report on request in HS.
So it is reporting. Now how do you set the report interval
and how can request when I want it to as a cammand?
The log does show it is reporting (very often). But I would like to control and very the rate. I know I could just reprogram to report on change. But I want to ahve more control.
    Any ideas.

I read this thread that mentions HS Version 1.7.7. But I only see 1.7.03 in the updater and I have down this twice. Is this why my Templinc is not responding and I ahve been want a different methond of using this darn device?

    Hi Rupp:

Thanks for the info. I did'nt notice any errors in the log. Just that the templincs were reporting but the current temperate reading didn't change.

    captnet,
As long as you have HS 1.7.7 or above you should be ok. Also were any errors reported in the HS log when the templinc were not working?

I upgraded HS 1.7 through the updater. Is there a seperate beta to apply after this update?

I did not attempt reinstalling the templinc plugin from the updater.

Needed to get the templincs back online! So my patience was thin

When you upgraded to HS 1.7 did you get the latest beta? Also did you reinstall the templinc plugin from the updater?

    Templinc and Homeseer 1.7

After upgrading to Homeseer 1.7 the Templinc stopped updating the temperature. The log shows the templinc sending changed temperature settings but the temperature would not change.

Removed Homeseer 1.7 and reverted back to Homeseer 1.68. Problem solved! All templinc's are updating the temperature correctly.

Anyone have additional info regarding Homeseer 1.7 and templinc problems?
